Blow Up

ABOUT BLOW UP

Blow Up is a club event, a record label, a music publisher and a live music promoter. Established and founded in 1993 by Paul Tunkin as a club event with live guests. Blow Up was soon to be found at the front and centre of the Britpop explosion. A record label and a music publishing company soon followed. In 2023, with Blow Up now in its 30th year, it continues working within the following distinctive areas of music entertainment :

Blow Up Club (Club and live music events), Blow Up Records (a record label), Blow Up Songs (a music publisher). This website brings the four activities together in one space to simplify navigation to these individual websites.

Between 2001 – 2009 Blow Up promoted and ran London’s Metro Club a live music venue and nightclub, it was closed due to the Crossrail project – the original website although still live is no longer updated.

On 14th April 2022 Blow Up launched a new website Blow Up Images, a visual archive for Blow Up.

Blow Up started celebrations for its 30th anniversary with a sold out event in Kings Cross in November 2023. This is to be followed by a second event to take place Friday 24th May at the Century club London.
